VIRTUAL TUTORIALS
Tutorials will be held via Zoom this year

Although sessions will be virtual we will be 100% live at a distance!

How do I access the tutorial session?

-
All you need is an internet connection and access to Zoom - See the setting-up page for more information!

-
You do not need to have a laptop, any device that can connect to an internet browser works.

-
The zoom room number and password will be sent to you after registration. If you do not receive an email 2 weeks prior to the start of the Hackathon please contact us!

-
Tutorials will be recorded and available for download from the shared Google Drive folder. Details regarding this folder will be sent to you after registration. If you do not receive an email 2 weeks prior to the start of the Hackathon or have access trouble, contact us!

How will each tutorial be carried out?

-
Tutorials will consist in two parts - Part 1: interactive lectures - Part 2: interactive breakout session

-
The interactive lecture will cover Python material (See the topics for each day)

-
The interactive breakout will consist in small team problem solving in breakout rooms. A graduate student will be present in each room to help everyone work on a problem based on the main lecture

Who do I contact if I have questions on the material?

-
During the tutorial / breakout rooms you can ask questions anonymously or live either by writing your question to the host or by raising your hand

-
After the tutorial you can send an email to the tutorial lecturer or to the graduate student who hosted the breakout room (see committees for their contact information)
